Busser / Food Runner – Spotted Donkey

About the Role:
Spotted Donkey Cantina at The Westin Westminster is seeking energetic and dependable Busser / Food Runner team members to support our restaurant operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring guests receive prompt service and enjoy a clean, organized dining environment.
Our restaurant serves hotel guests, local diners, and event attendees in a lively and fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering excellent hospitality while supporting servers and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while ensuring proper presentation.
- Clear tables promptly after guests depart and reset them according to restaurant standards.
- Assist servers with maintaining clean and organized dining areas throughout service.
- Refill water, assist with bread or chips and salsa service, and support basic guest needs when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and side work areas.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with restocking glassware, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support opening and closing duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or multiple plates.
- Dependable and punctual with a guest-service mindset.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
